This week we have been learning about Moses, the Plagues in Egypt and the Ten Commandments. Our last story of the week was from Exodus 32. This passage tells how the Israelites became discontent and made a gold idol of a calf to worship while Moses was on the mount receiving the Ten Commandments.
Moses made the people destroy the gold calf and drink the gold dust. In LHFHG we made 'gold calf's' out of peanut butter dough and ate our idol.
Thanks for posting this! We are talking about Moses this week, and I will definitely use the golden calf/peanut butter play dough idea! I know the boys will love it!
I am glad schooling is going well for you. I am a little nervous about having two in home school next year, and I appreciate the inspiration!
